Here we have some of the recent developments that have taken place which are of great importance to our health. Since many of us want to be healthy and at the same time, to look good with a head full of hair, we will start off with a recent research result which may banish Bald heads forever.
How to avoid getting bald, Best hair fall tablet
This author has been lucky to have stumbled upon the best tablet to stop hair loss and balding. I was prescribed the tablet “Evion-LC” for leg cramps. The tablet contains Vitamin-E and Levocarnitine. After eating these tablets for about 6 weeks, I got relief from leg cramps. But during this time I also noticed that when I combed my hair in the morning, there was less and less hair to remove from the comb. Finally by about the end of the 4th week, my hair fall completely stopped. I assumed that it must be this new tablet that is preventing my hair from falling and going completely bald. But I needed proof. I googled for days and finally landed on this research report published in the US National Center for Biotechnology Information, a U.S. government-funded national resource for molecular biology information
To quot from The US National Center for Biotechnology Information “L-carnitine-L-tartrate promotes human hair growth in vitro….. ….Our findings suggest that l-carnitine stimulates human scalp hair growth by up regulation of proliferation and down regulation of apoptosis in follicular keratinocytes in vitro. They further encourage one to explore topical and nutraceutical administration of l-carnitine as a well-tolerated, relatively safe adjuvant treatment in the management of androgenetic alopecia and other forms of hair loss.” With my personal experience and the above research report, I can confidently say that ‘Levocarnitine’ tablets do work in preventing baldness. The research paper seems to suggest that there could be regrowth of hair on the scalp, but I cannot vouch for that. I can only say that
‘Levocarnitine’ is a good medicine for baldness.
Side effects of Levocarnitine tablet to prevent hair fall
One of the side effects of this hair loss medicine Levocarnitine is that the Thyroid hormone levels are reduced in some people. The main symptoms of low thyroid are: gaining weight without any reason, dry skin and feeling cold when others have no problem. They say that if one member of a family has low thyroid then most probably all siblings will have the same. So it is good to check thyroid leveles when taking Levocarnitine.

How to cure from Asthma? is being too clean bad for your health?
You will be surprised to hear that the main cause of Asthma and other allergies is because we live in a super clean environment with a phobia against germs. Many children are getting cure from Asthma when they visit dairy farms and other, what we consider dirty places. Below are links to some articles which should encourage us to live more normal lives without being too scared of germs.
From CNN: Why you should love germs
“It’s understandable that parents want to keep their children’s environments clean, especially when kids are young. Moms wash bottles in hot water, clean pacifiers that fall on the ground and take dirty things out of their kids’ mouths. But overall, when it comes to germs, most people have it backward: With relatively few exceptions, they are good for our kids. Keeping things clean is smart, but going crazy using antibacterial hand soaps, buying antibacterial kids’ toys and other products and overusing antibiotic medications is actually killing off the microbes that can help strengthen the immune system. Antibacterial products may help to reduce some infections, but they also promote the growth of drug-resistant organisms and weaken the good bacteria within us. Rather than focus on killing germs, we need to think about how to encourage their growth …. ” ……More
From FDA, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in an article entitled “Asthma: The Hygiene Hypothesis” says:
What do clean houses have in common with childhood infections?
One of the many explanations for asthma being the most common chronic disease in the developed world is the “hygiene hypothesis.” This hypothesis suggests that the critical post-natal period of immune response is derailed by the extremely clean household environments often found in the developed world. In other words, the young child’s environment can be “too clean” to pose an effective challenge to a maturing immune system.
According to the “hygiene hypothesis,” the problem with extremely clean environments is that they fail to provide the necessary exposure to germs required to “educate” the immune system so it can learn to launch its defense responses to infectious organisms. Instead, its defense responses end up being so inadequate that they actually contribute to the development of asthma. ….More
From New York Times: “Will the cure for allergies come from the cowshed?”
Allergies are often seen as an accident. Your immune system misinterprets a harmless protein like dust or peanuts as a threat, and when you encounter it, you pay the price with sneezing, wheezing, and in the worst cases, death. What prompts some immune systems to err like this, while others never do? Some of the vulnerability is surely genetic. But comparative studies highlight the importance of environment, beginning, it seems, in the womb. Microbes are one intriguing protective factor. Certain ones seem to stimulate a mother’s immune system during pregnancy, preventing allergic disease in children. By emulating this naturally occurring phenomenon, scientists may one day devise a way to prevent allergies. ….More
Rheumatoid arthritis caused by bacteria
The scourge of Arthritis still remains in the modern world. No effective cure has been found as yet. Latest therapies like ‘immunosuppressants’ and ‘biologic response modifiers’ are bringing some relief, but no cure. Some eminent doctors now claim that rheumatoid arthritis caused by bacteria. One theory focuses on Mycoplasma, as the infectious agent responsible for Arthritis. This theory was proposed by Dr. Thomas McPherson Brown (1906-1989), but his theories were not accepted by the Medical profession, even though a substantial number of Arthritis cases were either cured or substantially reduced. Dr. Brown fought an uphill battle to get his antibiotic treatments recognized by the medical profession. The Road Back Foundation was founded to continue the work of Dr. Brown. To quote from this site “Working with Albert Sabin (later of polio vaccine fame) at the Rockefeller Institute just before World War II, Brown isolated a bacteria-like agent from the joint fluid of an arthritic woman and speculated that it might be the infectious trigger for her disease. The bug in question, then generically classified as an L-form, was too small to identify precisely, but with the advent of electron microscopy it was shown to be a class of cell-wall-deficient organisms which scientists named mycoplasma, for watery fungus.
Mycoplasma is ubiquitous and not at all easy to get rid of, but Brown found that it usually could be controlled by long-term, low-level doses of tetracycline. As that class of antibiotic evolved, he got even better results with the second and third generation, doxycycline and minocycline. Up to then, the only treatments for the various forms of inflammatory arthritis were for the symptoms, and this was the first credible therapy aimed at a probable cause.”
Arthritis cure with Vitamin D
There are several claims that Vitamin D can cure or is very helpful in many diseases. For example the article in UK’s Daily Mail entitled ‘Could vitamin D really cure your arthritis?’ is worth a read. To quote a few lines “Just in case there were any doubts about the importance of vitamin D – the ‘sunshine’ vitamin – two major studies published last week confirmed just how essential it is for good health. One study found that people with higher levels in their blood were more likely to survive cancer, the other that having very low levels increased your risk of cardiovascular disease. Previous research has linked high levels with fighting off infection and helping with all sorts of chronic problems. ……… Dr James Dowd, who works at the Arthritis Institute of Michigan, has been prescribing vitamin D to people suffering from chronic disorders such as arthritis, back pain and headaches and the result, he claims, is a huge improvement in their symptoms.”
Arthritis Cure with Ayurveda
Ayurveda is the ancient Indian medical science of healing using herbs, natural products like honey and different types of medicated oil massages. One of the most spectacular Ayurvedic success story, which made international headlines, happened about 15 years ago, when the Sri Lankan (Ceylon) Prime Minister Mrs. Sirimavo Bandaranaike, the first ever female Prime Minister of the world, arrived in India, to the State of Kerala in India, for treatment on a wheel chair, unable to walk due to Arthritis. After about 2 weeks of Treatment in a famous Ayurvedic Institution in Kerala, she was able to go back, walking unassisted on her own two feet, to rule Sri Lanka (Ceylon)……More from www.IndiaEnjoy.com
